Food:

Went to Cafe Villa this morning for breakfast and the food was sensational. Definitely one of the best (if not the best) breakfast I have had at a cafe. I had the Turkish Eggs which are scrambled eggs with feta cheese and spinach on toasted turkish bread and a side of bacon. My girlfriend had the cinnamon and vanilla griddle cakes with roasted apple, ice cream and maple syrup. Both were extremely tasty and fresh and the servings were huge. The griddle cakes were 2 cm thick and I must have had about 4 eggs on my plate. I didn't give 5 stars because my coffee was very bitter and the pineapple juice was obviously poured from a bottle but my girlfriends chai latte was lovely.

Service:

Not bad but not excellent. We were asked if we wanted any drinks before we had even sat down but this wasn't such a big deal because we both knew what we wanted. The drinks came out quickly but we waited quite a while for our breakfast order to be taken and it took a long time to come out.

Ambience:

It is a cafe and a loud one so I can't be too critical here. A nice place and very comfortable but very loud and rushed so not great if you want to talk. It wouldn't stop me from going back though.

Overall:
Very nice for breakfast and some interesting thing's on the menu. We will definitely be going back to try the eggs benedict, potato and corn cakes and griddle cakes with banana and bacon. A bit loud and rushed but it is a cafe and a very busy one so I can't complain.

We had a booking here at 7.30 for six, two of our party had been seated when my friends and I arrived. What a charming place this is.

My partner and I were the only ones who ordered an entree, we had the tapas Plate to share which was great, one of the best tapas plates we have had recently, everything was fresh, my favorite was the calamari and the marinated artichokes, my partner raved about the French onion dip which was homemade.
For mains two had the warm beef salad, which was deemed to hot (spicy) to eat by one and perfect by the other, the nasi goreng looked good and there was nothing left in the bowl. The marinated scotch fillet looked awesome too.

I had smoked chicken pasta, which I loved, the chicken was tender and the pasta was fresh and filling , my boyfriend insisted I order a large so he could share some but after eating his crumbed and stuffed chicken breast could only manage a few mouthfuls.

We were there for two hours and served promptly and out of the restaurant by 9.30. My only complaint was the bottled water for the table was served at room temperature.

It came to $240 which included a bottle of wine, a beer and a bourbon.

The best food in Leederville without a doubt! I have been here on several occasions and have tried the stuffed chicken which was amazing, and the roasted veggie stack which was the best vegetarian meal I have ever eaten, and a fettuccine dish which was hot and tasty. Prices are very reasonable (around low $20s for a main). Serves are large without being too ridiculous.

Service:

Very friendly and earnest. Staff are attentive which is very rare in Perth!

The restaurant is quite small and cosy. Music is kept to a reasonable level making it a nice place for a date!

Overall:
Excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Cafe Villa to anyone visiting Leederville - it is a pleasant, worry-free and casual meal in nice surroundings.

Food:

in a nutshell, middle of the range prices for top quality food...i had the chicken parmigiana and i can unhesitatingly say it was the best i've had...thick, tender and not overcooked...the beer battered chips that came with it were also cooked just right...the 2 daughters had crumbed chicken breast stuffed with spinach and pancetta on garlic mash...they both loved the dish, especially the garlic mash and the small bit i was allowed to taste was delicious...the birthday girl chose the mackerel and seemed to thoroughly enjoy it but as i wasn't allowed a taste i can't verify how good it was...

everybody else at the table were also very happy with their meals agreed the food was top class and with the use of the VIP Card, great value

Service:

it was a Sunday night and they were fairly busy and whilst there were 8 of us the service was fine...only comment was that initially we had to ask for more water which unfortunately was room temperature and i like it cold...other than that the service was good and not overattentive

Ambience:

pretty good...felt quite Italian with the wicker chairs...decor was pleasant, music was just at the right level and not overpowering so you could have a conversation with most of the people at the table

Overall:
had driven passed Cafe Villa a million times but never been inside, so to celebrate a family birthday and get the use of the VIP Card we decided to give them a go..other reviews had been quite kind so we went there with some degree of hope..we were not disappointed..the food was excellent, the service was fine, the staff were pleasant and all in all we were more than satisfied with the experience..we will definitely go back, probably for breakfast next time, others at our table will also return.

I had a Sunday breakfast here which was quite nice. We were offered a choice of tables and sat right by the window, which is a nice people watching spot. Cafe Villa is very well positioned with a relaxing atmosphere.

I ordered the waffles which came with baked apple and vanilla ice cream. This was the only sweet thing on the menu and I thought it might be a bit over the top for breakfast, but the ice cream came in a separate container so you could add as much or as little as you liked. The waffles were all mini heart shaped which is sweet. They were quite soft and I would have liked them a bit crispier but overall not bad.

The people next to us had a big cooked breakfast which was absolutely huge and looked delicious - I'd love to come back and sample it. It's also available at lunch which would be another option.

Our lattes came out quickly before the meal and although small were well made. The only thing I think they need to improve on is service - our plates weren't cleared for ages even though the people next to us who arrived after us and ate after us had theirs cleared.

Overall a nice experience and I'll be returning.

We finally dined at this cafe after passing by it on countless occasions on route to the Leedy hotel. It was a Tuesday night around 8:30pm. Cafe Villa have Monday/Tuesday "Risotto" specials night on both of these days with a choice of over 7 risotto dishes INCLUDING a glass of red or white house wine which can be swapped for a glass of soft drink or coffee for only $16.90. Amazing value!

I had the Italian sausage and spicy napolitana sauce (taste was excellent - my risotto actually tasted like risotto! it was not raw or too mushy!), while my partner chose the chicken/mushroom and basil concoction minus a few ingredients listed on the menu while requested additional extras. Our other diner ordered a chicken and spinach risotto which he enjoyed thoroughly as well.

My only fault with the cafe was that they forgot to bring out our tasting plate - but s*#& happens and im glad they forgot because i was soo FULL after the risotto. Needless to say, our waiter was very apologetic and offered to do our dishes again...but it was late and well i was not too fussed. The house white wines were great - light and fruity - went well with my dish. Overall, i'd definitely be back for their Risotto nights - our end bill was $50.70 - and for 3 dishes + 3 glasses of wine it was excellent value for a chill back night out.

ps: its an excellent spot for people gazing if you seat outside under the heaters :)

Five of us went for dinner last Monday evening and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a great table and the food was superb - I had the crumbed chicken with bacon and camembert on sweet potato mash and it was DELICIOUS! The VIP card also saved us lots of $$$ as the meals are 2-4-1 on Mondays and Tuesdays - perfect! :)

Came here this morning and had the Potato and Corn Cakes and my siter had the Eggs Benedict. She reported that it was lovely and the eggs were cooked perfectly although the hollandaise sauce was a bit too lemony.
My Potato and Corn cakes was an unusual choice for breakfast as it was more like a full meal. I was very full afterwards and lunch wasn't required until mid afternoon.
On other occasions I have also had the Turkish eggs and a Mushroom Omelette here which have been top quality.
The coffee is very nice although I'd order the mug as the normal cups are very small.
Haven't been here for anything other than breakfast but will be sure to report if I do!

I dine in Cafe Villa very regularly and above all else it's in a good spot on the corner in Leederville and has a very attractive ambience. The service is always very friendly and beautiful and the food is reasonably priced and good quality. On the downside the toilets are not too good and the outside infra red heaters are often not working, which is a bummer if you really want to watch the world go by and then have to move inside.

As I used to work in Leederville, Cafe Villa was the frequent option for work lunches.

Comfortable, relaxed surroundings - ideal for groups of friends.

All the food I've tried on the menu has been more than satisfactory. The staff are very easy-going and full of life.

The only one criticism I can make is the most recent visit when there was a hair in my pasta. The manager at the time was very good about it, apologised and discounted the bill.

Aside from this incident, Cafe Villa has proven to be a good choice for lunch and dinner.
